朝晩はだんだんと涼しく感じるようになり、秋めいたシーズンがあります。日本でも北米でも秋ならではのTopicや会話の内容がありますよね？
僕自身も秋になるとカナダではThanksgiving(感謝祭)やHalloweenのシーズンだったりSeasonal fooodsなど..色々それらについての会話やクライアントとスモールトークしたりします。 Blogではそんな時期に使えそうな英語フレーズを説明しますね。
「Fall」はアメリカ英語なんです★
アメリカやカナダでよく使われます。
「Autumn」はイギリス英語ですね★
イギリスやオーストラリアなどが主として使っています。
今回のBlogでは秋に使える英語フレーズ勉強方法について紹介します。

日本には「読書の秋」、「食欲の秋」、「実りの秋」、「スポーツの秋」、「芸術の秋」などが日本の表現として使われる慣用句があるみたいですね。

食欲の秋って英語ではどう伝えますか？
海外でも秋の収穫を感謝する感謝祭などのイベントがありますし秋は食べ物のシーズン、という認識はありますが言い方難しいですね。
こんな感じで伝わるはずです★
In Japan, we say “Autumn appetite” or “Shokuyoku no Aki” since Autumn is the best season for eating.
日本では食欲の秋という言葉があり、それは、秋が食べ物を食べるのに最も良い季節だからです。

秋を感じるの英語フレーズ★
実際に肌寒いという直接的な表現だけではなく、比喩的な「秋の気配」という表現もあります★

秋の「紅葉」の英語フレーズ★
紅葉は英語では、「red leaves」や「yellow leaves」などの表現もあります。「autumn leaves」や「fall leaves」が一般的★
秋の「月見」を英語表現
「月見」は日本の秋の行事の１つで、直訳はないのですが、「Moon viewing」でネイティブには伝わります。
「月見をする」という動詞にするには、「We enjoy the moon（またはmoonlight）」で通じます★
秋の行事「運動会」を英語で表現
夏前にも開催されている「運動会」や「体育祭」ですが、秋に実施しているところも多くあります。
「Sports meet（またはmeeting）」などの表現もありますが、「Sports day」がスムーズに通じます。
「春夏秋冬（しゅんかしゅうとう）」を英語では、「The four seasons」と表現します。
